Marylin Jean Wilson, 77 of Calgary Alberta, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019. Born November 30, 1941 in Camrose, Alberta, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Alvie Selin. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Allen Douglas Wilson, two daughters Theresa Soto and Lynnette Franks; five grandchildren Allen, Travis (Brittni) Vanessa (Cole), Amanda (Ricky),and Danielle; six great grandchildren Owen, Alicia, Abby, Izzy, Tasia, Kael and sister Barb (Don). She was predeceased by her son Baby Allen and sister Velma. Marylin was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She ran a day home for many years caring for her five grandchildren and many other children. She was actively involved in the Forest Lawn Community Association for 33 years as secretary, and volunteered in many other capacities (Casino, Bingo, Red Cross, Enumerating, Catering). She was a loving and caring friend and was always willing to lend a hand driving friends to appointments or checking up on them and visiting for tea. She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, playing games ( dominos, cards) going out for dinner/breakfast and watching her children and grandchildren play baseball, hockey and soccer which she did right up until she passed. She most enjoyed spending time with her family. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday, January 18, 2019 at Pierson’s Funeral Home, 4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta.
