Merna Ruth Larson

Merna Larson passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 78 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Duane Larson, of Vancouver, BC, Don Larson, of Edmonton, AB and Jeff (Hester) Larson, of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Stephanie (Matt) Dyck, Layne Larson, Shae Larson, Justin Larson, Jace Larson, Jeneille Larson and Jakobe Larson; great granddaughter Emily Dyck; nephews Gary and Wayne; niece Bonnie; lifelong dear friend Grace Jones; and many more family and friends. Merna was born and raised in Saskatchewan. After starting her family, she moved to Lethbridge where she lived for a number of years. She then moved to Calgary which has been her home for 30+ years. Merna loved to do many things but her favorites were rug hooking and her animals. She will be forever remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. At Merna’s request, no formal Funeral Service will be held. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Calgary Humane Society (www.calgaryhumane.ca).
