Michael Alan Bishoff, 41, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022 surrounded by family.
Michael is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Adam and Margaret Bischoff, his maternal grandparents Steve and Margaret Lebioda, and baby niece Alina. Left to cherish his memory are: his daughter Melanie Hart (Cassidy); his mother Jocelyn Bishoff; his father Alan Bishoff; two sisters – Melanie Bishoff and her husband Gavin, Laila Haus and her husband Trevor and their children Raina, Sasha and Hanna; his best friend Stephanie Charland – along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends who were like family to him.
Michael was born December 27, 1980, in Regina, SK. At a very young age, he found a love for technology and computers. He was happiest when tinkering away rebuilding motherboards and chatting on bulletin boards of the early days of the web. He was extremely gifted in that regard and received honours and awards for his work and knowledge growing up. He went on to college and built a distinguished career in Enterprise Infrastructure with his most recent position as Director of Information Technology and Security.
Michael had a charismatic personality. Many would be brought to tears of laughter with his exuberant storytelling. He loved his years on the auto racing circuit as a driver, and also had a passion for skydiving and live music. He was known for his friendliness and never hesitated to lend a hand, provide support and a listening ear to anyone who could use it. Michael was blessed to have a beautiful daughter and had many happy and heartfelt memories with her throughout the years. He was so fulfilled when she arrived to live with him in Calgary a few years ago.
He will be greatly missed.
