Michael Andrew Patrick Whittaker

An amazing man who loved life and his family left far to soon on Friday, February 19, 2016. He was best friend and beloved partner to Shannon Blazina; cherished son to his father Terry Whittaker; adored brother of Chris Whittaker (Helen); three sisters Angela Jarvie (Kent), Sonya Whittaker (Dave MacAulay) and Victoria Olthof (Evan); and fun loving uncle to Hayden, Rhys, Kevin, Kyle, Eliza and David. Michael was predeceased by his mother Loretta Ho and an infant sister Andrea. Michael loved golf and cross country skiing. He was a creator of fine food, a connoisseur of wine, a loyal friend, a compassionate mentor and a willing dance partner. He gave energy and life to all of us when we needed it and our lives are richer for knowing him. He will be incredibly missed and forever loved. A gathering of Michael’s family and friends will be held in the Crystal Ball Room at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel (133 – 9 Avenue SW) on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m..
