Michael David Kelbert

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Michael David Kelbert on April 13, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta. Michael was born on February 21, 1972 in Montreal, Quebec to Linda Anne Rivers and Tom David Jack Kelbert. Mike was the beloved partner of Sarah Lyn MacDonald, and the father of David Michael Roy Kelbert, Samuel James Wolfgang Kelbert, Amelia Leanne Kelbert and Anna Lyn Ophelia Kelbert. Mike is also survived by his father, Tom Kelbert. Mike was a known as a gentle, kind-hearted man who competed in Heavy Events, volunteered at the Calgary Highland Games, regularly attended the opera, painted with watercolours and worked at the City of Calgary as an Irrigation Specialist. Most of all he was known as a family man who loved to have his family surrounding him, especially during family vacations. Funeral Services will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-day Saints, Foothills Stake Centre, 30 Everstone Blvd. SW, Calgary AB T2Y 4S5 with a viewing in the Relief Society Room beginning at 10:00 a.m. A light lunch will follow. Interment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Queens Park Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Michaels memory by visiting the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention.
