Mr. Gerald “Gerry” J. Stunzi

It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald (Gerry) Stunzi announces his passing on Monday, June 28

th

, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Left to cherish Gerry’s memory is his wife of 32 years, Susan; his much-loved children Nikki (Sheehab), Gerred (Cassidy), Bradley, and Russell; his grandchildren Jada, Gianna, Kyla, Georden, Kynlee, Aubrey, Justice, Gavin, Lincoln, and Gemma-Marie; his best friends Dave and Porky; as well as his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents John and Marie Stunzi.

Gerry was born and raised in Calgary. A true Calgarian. He was a man who would give everything he had to anyone in need. Although he was lovingly called ‘grumpy’, he was giving, kind and had a special humor that when he laughed, his blue eyes shined. He loved his wife and children with all his heart. He worked hard his whole life to give his children everything he could. Papa adored his grandchildren, claiming the role of being the first to hold most of them when they came home from the hospital. He loved motorcycles from a very young age and rode throughout his whole life. He also loved classic hotrods and muscle cars, cheese sandwiches, Chapstick, the show M.A.S.H. and his XL 4×4 coffee from Tim’s.

The imprint that Gerry made on his family and friends will last forever. He will be missed beyond words, but his loved ones take comfort in knowing that he is with his parents, driving them crazy with all the noise from riding around on his motorcycle.

At this time, no funeral or memorial service is planned.
