Mylo Forsyth passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 96 years in Calgary, AB. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Matilda Forsyth (nee Maier); son Neil (Bette) Forsyth; daughter Ruellen Forsyth (Jonathan Nicholson); 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many more family and friends. Mylo was born in Magrath, AB and raised in Cardston, AB. After serving for a short time with the Canadian Forces, he returned to Cardston where he started corresponding with Mat while she was in Tolstoy, MB. They were married in 1946 and after a short while they made Calgary their home. Mylo was a 36 year employee of Canadian Pacific Railways, and he retired in 1985 to serve a mission in Zaire, Africa for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-0day Saints. He was a devoted Christian and commited member of the LDS church and consistently showed his love for his fellowmen and his testimony of these gospel principles. Funeral Services will be held for Mylo at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Heritage Chapel (935 Heritage Drive SW, Calgary) on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ab.ca).
