Nancy Marie Morrow

Marie Morrow passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the age of 82 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ava Gannon, Belinda (Del) Huntley, Crystal (Bruce) Tilley, Cameron Morrow & Colleen (Joe) Blanchette; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; siblings, George, Judy, Lynne & Shelley; along with many extended family in Alberta and Manitoba. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Edwin ‘Ted’; siblings, Lisa Johnson and Jerry Cameron; and two of her grandchildren, Arthur and Ethan.

Marie was born in Portage-La-Prairie, Manitoba to George and Margaret Cameron. She and Ted married and proceeded to raise their family. When the kids were young, Marie was a very involved mother volunteering her time teaching 4H. She worked as a nurses aid and really found fulfillment from helping mentally challenged and developmentally delayed patients at the Manitoba Development Centre. She had such a good rapport with her clients and they loved her. In her spare time, she loved doing all manner of crafts – knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, ceramics. Marie loved being with people. She had such a warm, charismatic personality that people, adults and children alike were drawn to her. She loved helping people any way she could and all the time. Even when her health worsened and she was not able to walk, she wanted to get up and help. Marie will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

As per Marie’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral ceremony.
