Naseem Ahmad Tahir

Naseem Ahmad Tahir passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by seven children Shahzad Mian (Rafiqa Hina) of Calgary, Fahim Nadeem of Germany, Farida Nasim of UK, Farid Yousuf of Belgium, Attiya Nasim of Germany, Ayesha Nasim and Waseem Kalim both of Ontario; and many grandchildren. Naseem was one of seven children and is survived by one brother and two sisters, and a large extended family. Naseem was predeceased by his wife Ruqia Nasim on May 30, 2021, two brothers and one sister.

Naseem Ahmad Tahir was a Goldsmith by trade, a skill handed down to him from his family generations. His creations were beautiful and he had a reputation for impeccable work and honesty. He was a wonderful husband and father. He will be remembered for his work ethic, honesty and generosity. Mr. Tahir was a man of faith who devoted many hours of his time to the Mosque.

A Funeral Service will be held for Naseem at Baitun Nur Mosque (4353 – 54 Avenue NE, Calgary) on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
