Neleta Louise Wright

It is with mixed emotions that we, the family of Neleta Wright, fondly known as “MOM”, announce her transition to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 6th, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Neleta was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend George in 1973, & together they raised seven children with patience, discipline and a deep and profound love for God. Her children are: Stephon (Linoval), Norman, Ann-Marie, Dennis, Joan (Anthony), Dotlyn, Dyan (Carl), and Kyreese. Neleta will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Chevonni, Andel, Reighaz, Myaisha, Chaz, Tavonna, Cordell, Turrell, Shaquane, Natalia, Essence, Tonniejah, Promyse, Shada, Symone, and close family Colisia & Dominique. She is also survived by her mother Eunice Green, sister Idean, brother Duel, nieces, nephews, and other loving family. Neleta was predeceased by her father Arnold Blackwood as well as her son Leston “Carl” Ellis. Public viewing for Neleta will be on Saturday August 13th, 10:00-11:00 am, with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Showers of Blessing Church, 3915 – 34th Street NE, with Bishop Vincent McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens 1515-100th Street SE, followed by a post burial reception at Showers of Blessing.
