Nicole Kathleen Halat

HALAT, Nicole Kathleen 1985 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend Nicole Kathleen Halat, a.k.a. Col. Nicole passed away peacefully on March 10, 2014 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Nicole is survived by her loving parents Marc and Julie, grandparents Sheila (Jerry) and Moe, brother Jeff (Loni), sisters Tracy (Doug) and Kristy (Adam) as well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Col loved to spend time with family, friends and most of all animals. Although her life journey was not always easy, she always found solace and comfort in her furry friends and was especially devoted to her dog Laya. Her contagious laughter, smile, kind heart and caring nature will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her. We love you Col and we know how hard you tried to overcome life’s challenges. May you find the peace and happiness you always yearned for. You will forever be missed and loved by those you left behind. A celebration of Nicole’s life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Rocky View Garden of Peace Chapel, 243208 Garden Road N.E., Calgary. In commemoration of Nicole’s favourite colour, we ask that, if possible, attendees wear pink.
