Norma Jean Peterson passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the age of 59 years.
Norma Jean was born in Coronation, Alberta and was the youngest of 16 children. She lived in Toronto for a number of years but returned to Calgary to settle with her soul mate and love of her life, Ben Peterson. They purchased a house in Crossfield, Alberta and Norma Jean proceeded over the years to make it a warm and beautiful home. Her cow collection filled the rooms with warmth and love and welcomed everyone who entered. Ben and Norma Jean brought a homeless kitten into their lives. Lizzy was a loving companion to Norma Jean through her illness and the love was deeply returned. Norma Jean and Ben had so many adventures and created many happy memories through their travels but Norma Jean said the happiest day of her life was the day she married Ben in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Norma Jean was predeceased by her mother; father; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and her father-in-law. She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Ben; her sisters, Edna, Mable, and Sally; her brothers, Robert, Anthony, Don, Alven, Francis, Ray and Jack; her mother-in-law, Dorothy; her sisters-in-law, Shelly and Debbie; many extended family as well as her constant companion, her cat, Lizzy. She will be deeply missed and her loss will be felt by many.
As per her request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place.
