Norman William Drews

Norman Drews, age 88, passed away on April 27, 2018. Norman was born on January 31, 1930 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Pauline (Gross) and Reinhold Drews. Norman loved his family, his independence, which included going out for his morning coffee; playing cards, especially crib and solitaire; reading Western books; stamp collecting – he had a vast collection from all over the world; visiting with people – anywhere, anytime; working in his garage and yard. Norman took great pride in whatever he did with his motto being “do it right the first time.” He will be dearly missed by his family, Maureen (Gordon) Maxwell, Laura (Brian) Harris; grandchildren, Val (Jason) Bryan, Brad (Jess Remple) Maxwell, Michael (Leslie) Harris, Victoria (Daniel) Bryce, Drew Harris, Dustin (Paige) Drews, Cary Drews and his great-grandchildren, Drayden, Dominik, Hunter, Rowan and Stella. Norman is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Stella and his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held for Norman from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the Theatre at Whitehorn Village, 5200-44 Avenue NE, Calgary AB T1Y 7L4
