Pal Gony passed away on Christmas Eve on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 35 years.
Pal was born in South Sudan and immigrated to Canada in 2003. He lived in Calgary, Alberta where he worked as a general labourer to help support his family back home.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. Pal always knew how to help anyone find the silver lining in a situation they were going through. He never walked away when someone was in need and would try everything in his control to help said person. He took the time to communicate with his loved ones no matter how busy life got. He always had good things to say about people because he saw the good in everyone. He will be missed for his kind smile and welcoming hugs.
Pal is survived by Mother Nyachuol Pal; Siblings, Koang Gony, Beyien Gony; seven nieces and four nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held for Pal at Pierson’s Funeral Service – Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
A graveside service will follow at RockyView Garden of Peace Cemetery.
