Peggy Patricia Gallinger

With heavy hearts the family of Peggy Gallinger wishes to announce her passing on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the age of 92. Peggy was born in Reading, England on December 15, 1923. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her children Patricia (Don) Carter, Norine (Mike) LaPlante, Denise Johnston, and son-in-law Doug Clapperton; her grandchildren Teresa (Chad), Mike (Samira), Derek, Carissa, James, Leah, and Cora (Mathew); great-grandchildren Taylor, Reese, Orion, Chloe, Shilo, Cooper and Castiel and her five siblings. Peggy was predeceased by her parents, husband Sam, daughter Bonnie and two brothers. Peggy was well loved by her family, friends, and everyone she met. Peggy was extremely strong, kind and caring, and enjoyed family gatherings. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cindy Mason, Leslie and Candance at the Cardiac Function Clinic, Dr. Gibson, Dr. Son, and Dr. Marr (Palliative Care) and Unit 49 at the Peter Lougheed hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cardiac Function Clinic at the Peter Lougheed Centre. A Funeral Service will be held for Peggy at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel (16 Ave & 100 St/Garden Rd NE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm with a public visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
