Raymond Lawrence passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the age of 94 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dianna (Gary) Coultis, Phil Lawrence (Carlie) both of Calgary and Jennifer (Jon) Erekson of Texas; grandchildren, Daniel, Brandon, Shannon, Grace and David; as well as children and grandchildren from his first marriage; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gwendolyn Johnson. Ray was born and raised in England. He enlisted in the Royal Air Force during WWII and was stationed in Canada. After the war he returned to Canada where he has lived ever since. Ray was a jack of all trades and loved to do work around the house. He was a kind and loving Husband and Father which was seen in the years he was the caregiver for his wife. A Funeral Service will be held for Ray at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Heritage Chapel (935 Heritage Drive SW, Calgary) on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 am with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3B 6A8. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
