Remedios Mallo Bisda
November 10, 1942 — February 6, 2023
Remy Bisda (nee Langit) passed away at Foothills Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2023 the age of 80 years.
Remy is pre-deceased by her husband of 17 years at the time of his passing, Marcellano Bisda; her parents, Dominador Langit and Lourdes Panaon; sister, Adoracion Guevarra; and brother, Conrado Langit. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Leslie of Calgary; siblings, Rosario (Leonardo) Maranan of Winnipeg, Regina (Manuel) Taylo also of Winnipeg, Jesus (Lydia) Langit of the Philippines and Vincente (Mylene) Panaon also of the Philippines.
Remy was born is Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. In 1973, she immigrated to Canada and lived in Winnipeg until 1990. Remy worked at Peter Lougheed Hospital until her retirement in 2007. In her spare time, she loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her daughter, Leslie. She also loved football! She was an avid football watcher and her favourite team is the Denver Broncos.
The Bisda family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Care Center, Sunridge Dialysis clinic as well as the Foothills Emergency Room.
The service schedule for Remy is as follows:
Visitation at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday February 17, 2023 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Prayers with Father Venil D’Souza of St. Mark’s Parish will be from 7-8.
Funeral Ceremony will take place also at Pierson’s Funeral Service on Saturday February 18 at 11:00am. Viewing will be available beginning at 10:00am.
Graveside Service will be after the ceremony at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery (Calgary, AB)
Friends are invited to a reception after the graveside at Pierson’s Funeral Service.
