Dick “The Favorite” (Richard) James Roscoe, 76, passed away Thursday February 9th 2017 at Age Care Seton Long Term Care Centre following a lengthy illness with PSP. He leaves behind the love of his life Donna who is missing him dearly. Dick also leaves behind a large loving family including Rick, BeLinda (Pino), Ramona (Robin), Dan (Bree), Andrea (Roger) and eleven grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Parker, Logan, , Maya, Mason, Paige, Natalie, Matteo, Teana and Oliver. Dick is survived by his siblings and their families including Spud (Joan), Ken (Elaine), Nancy (Oscar) and Linda (Graham). Dick, originally from Nova Scotia, was an active member of many volunteer organizations including Calgary Police Services, Calgary Stampede Board, Rotary Club of Calgary and Rotary Club of Calgary East. Dick had a very giving heart and wonderful sense of humor. This sense of humor and engagement with others was present all the days of his life. Dick and his family were fortunate to be supported by many close friends while he battled this challenging disease over the many years and everyone will be forever grateful for the support. The family would also like to thank the recreational staff and the care staff at Age Care Seton for wonderful and loving care they provided to Dick and the family in the time of need. The family would like to celebrate Dick’s life in the first floor dining room at Age Care Seton located 4963 Front Street SE, Calgary, AB T3M 2M3 on Sunday February 19th, at 2:30 to 5 pm.
