Richard Sell passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the age of 64 years. He will be missed immensely by his wife of 36 years Janice Sell (nee Mabley); children David, Ted, Victoria and Jessica; two grandchildren; sisters Margaret Mabley and Rita Lehman; brothers Garry Sell and Douglas Sell along with many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews and many more family and friends.
Richard was born in the Calgary General Hospital on April 21, 1957. He grew up on a farm near Beiseker, Alberta with his parents, Adele Sell and Hermann Sell and his brothers and sisters. Richard lived and worked in Calgary and around Alberta including Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Beiseker.
Richard was a hardworking, dedicated and proud father, grandfather and meticulous cabinet maker and carpenter. He was also skilled in many aspects of the construction and home renovation trade. His talents are displayed in many homes and businesses throughout the province. He proudly taught his children and friends many of these skills to carry into their future.
Our lives are forever changed and less bright without this wonderful, kind man and his delightful sense of humor and love.
A Visitation will be held for Richard at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 7:00-9:00pm.
