It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to son, brother, nephew and uncle, Richard Henry Blain. Rick, son of Joe and Lorraine Blain, passed away unexpectedly in Edmonton on June 26, 2017 at the age of 53 years.
Born and raised in Calgary, Rick worked in the seismic industry for many years and for Enmax for 15 years. Most recently, he has been retired, living a quiet life in Beaverdam, AB and offering tidbits of advice to the next generation, his nephews and nieces. Rick will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Lorraine, siblings: Dolores, Karen (Rod), twin brother, Randy (Kimi) and Sandra; special aunt, June Southwell, nephews Ricky, Wyatt, Mitchell and Grady, and nieces, Kelsie and Abbie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Joe.
A memorial service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
