Lynn Wilde passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 77 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years Rita; children Angie, Kent, Frazer (Quwenci), and Colby (Julia); daughter-in-law Carrie (Ryan) Boyle of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren Ainsley, Anderson, Nora, Aria, Lincoln and Declan; siblings Richard (Helen) Wilde of Cardston, AB, Juddy (Calvin) Olson of Leavitt, AB, Larry (Patricia) Wilde, Phillip (Joy) Wilde, Michelle (David) Laycock, all of Stirling, AB and Sharon (Robert) Choules of Phoenix, AZ; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Duben and parents Ivan & Margaret.
Lynn was born and raised in Raymond, AB. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Southern England he became a Steel Fabricator. After a number of years in Steel Fabrication he then started his own General Contracting business. He also trained to be a gunsmith in Trinidad, CO and started building custom rifles. Lynn loved shooting trap, hunting, boating, scouting and raising horses. He also loved learning and was always reading.
A Funeral Service will be held for Lynn at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:30 am. Due to gathering restrictions, attendance at the service will be by invitation. Those wishing to watch the service from home can do so at the link below.
