Rolf Falkenberg

August 17, 1948 — September 1, 2023

Our dearest Rolf has left this earth in search of his next great adventure. Fondly remembered by all as kind and generous, Rolf loved to host and entertain alongside his beloved wife, Natalie. Ranging from family and friends to neighbours and traveling musicians, Rolf’s life was full of genuine connections that left unforgettable imprints. He had a rolodex of stories and jokes at all times. It would be fair to expect at least several one-liners at any meal shared with him, especially when in public. A stranger was only one bad pun away from becoming a new friend.

Rolf absolutely adored his three daughters and took every opportunity to spend time together. Natalie and Rolf traveled to many countries and created countless special memories all over the world. As a lover of music, Rolf was often found blasting tunes with a huge grin on his face. Tears were regularly witnessed in his eyes when he attended concerts. The joy he found through music was palpable.

Rolf was a proud dad and grandpa, devoted husband, animal lover and friend to many. He was a collector, a connoisseur, a craftsman and a goofball at heart. Rolf will be missed and thought of warmly by all those that had the good fortune of crossing paths with him.

Rolf will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his wife, Natalie; his magic lives on through his daughters, Kate (Lindsay), Holly ( Chris) and Cassi; as well as his grandchildren, Maverick and Sadie. Rolf’s memory will also be honoured by his sisters, Cora (Wayne) and Claudia who were so precious to him. As Uncle and Gruncle, Rold will be forever loved by his many nieces and nephews. Kay Chesterman, Natalie’s mother, will be eternally grateful to have had Rolf as a son-in-law. Last but certainly not least, Rolf’s lap will be missed by his favorite feline companion, Claw.

Rolf is predeceased by his mother, Cora Falkenberg; his father, Rolf Falkenberg Sr; and his brother in law, Jim Turcott.
