Ronald Roy Ogden

Ron Ogden passed away at home in Vulcan, AB on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Reid (LaWana) of Calgary, Barry (Kathy) of Cochrane and Trevor (Dyan) of Redding, CA; twelve grandchildren Russell, Lynndy (Andrew), Kurtis, Chantelle (Ryan), Adrianna (Anthony), Ashli (Shane), Codi (Anna), Parker (Emily), Wyatt and Mason; great grandchildren Maddison, Abbey, Hailey, Alexandra and Cooper; sister Kaytee Devlin of Ucluelet, BC; brother-in-laws Brian Lamoureux of Calgary and Denis Lamoureux of Airdrie; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gail and sister Barb Thompson. Ron was born in Lethbridge and raised in Stirling and then Calgary. Ron met and Married Gail and they shared 52 years together before her passing in 2011. Ron enjoyed time with his family. Through the boys growing up years he coached them in the sports they played. He always enjoyed Golf and did so avidly in his retirement years with Gail. Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in the church for many years. He will be remembered greatly as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A Visitation will be held for Ron at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Heritage Chapel (935 Heritage Drive SW, Calgary) on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 9:30 am. Interment will follow the service at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
