Ruby Alma Hornberger/Leavitt

Ruby passed away, peacefully with family present, in Cardston, AB on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the age of 94 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cheryl Poulsen, of Las Vegas, NV, Samuel (Marlene) Hornberger, of Kimberley, BC, Susan (Ted) Shipley of Glenwood, AB, Brent (Lori) Hornberger, of Calgary, AB, and Bradley (Tanis) Hornberger of Calgary, AB, as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Samuel Hornberger in 1996, and second husband Dean Leavitt in 2003. Ruby was born in Mountain View, AB. She moved to Calgary where she met and married the love of her life Samuel Hornberger and raised five children while living there the better part of her life. In 1998 she and Dean were married and made Cardston their home. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 24, who loved her family and her Church. She was a true Lady, and her love will be missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held for Ruby at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Crescent Road Chapel, 202 Crescent Road NW, Calgary, on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 am.
