Sam grew up in Black Diamond AB and Claresholm AB before finally settling in Calgary AB for most of her adult life. Sam studied archeology at the Lethbridge College , she was a brilliant chef and a manager at First Call Calgary call center. Everyone who knew Sam knew her calling was spreading kindness, help and love to the less fortunate. A trait she said her mother Peggy & step-father Ivan passed on to her. She always had a warm bed, hot meal and plenty of laugh’s for anyone in need. Sam never turned away a soul who needed a friend or to feel loved. Sam was always the first to stick up for the little guy, she often said that being true to yourself and accepting others for who they are was the only was to find real friends and true happiness. Sam loved hard and laughed easily and cherished every moment with each one of you that came to spend time with her while she was in the hospital.

Sam wanted these words included: ~Don’t judge a situation you’ve never been in, you don’t know how you would react either ~Don’t waste your time worrying about what people think of you ~Be kind ALWAYS, you never know when you will be the one in need of a kind gesture ~All you need is love…

The vast emptiness felt by all who loved and knew Sam is great. She was truly one of a kind and if you were lucky enough to be loved by her your received a true gift from Creator. Honour Sam’s memory by donating to or volunteering with the less fortunate and always try to do random acts of kindness on her behalf it would make her happy to be remembered this way.

Sam’s viewing will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at Pierson’s funeral home 4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary AB with funeral services to follow at 3:00pm.
