Silvia Gonzalez passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the age of 65 years.
Words from her brother, Daniel:
Silvia was a loving and generous sister. She was a very good person and loved by all.
Throughout time she was always that way, not only with me, but also with our parents Nora and Leonel, grandparents and friends.
A brilliant student at her college and university, she decided to emigrate at a very difficult time from her country, our country, Argentina.
She bet on Canada, where she had good times and bad times. This is life. And among the first was meeting Bernie. She was lucky enough to enjoy part of her life with him.
She passed away when she was still young, and we are very sad about it, but I will follow the wise advice of my 12-year-old son Martín “remember the best moments you lived with her”.
Words from Michael, son of Bernie:
Silvia loved to walk and hike. She was a prolific photographer. Her pictures of the Rocky Mountains show her love of natural beauty. As a member of the Calgary Ramblers, weekends were spent hiking, scrambling and climbing. Silvia was also a writer. We appreciate how Silvia looked after our father with love, when he became ill, until his passing in 2013.
All of us who were lucky enough to meet her, wish her eternal peace.
