Stella Simmermon passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 just three months after turning 99 years old.
Stella is survived by her four children, Beverly Henke (Gerry), Deborah Simmermon, Robert Simmermon (Marlene) and David Simmermon; five grand-children, Robert Henke, Carol Dennison (Andrew) and their son Owen Dennison; Victoria Simmermon, Jaxon Simmermon, and Mart Simmermon along with many extended family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert Simmermon; sisters, Lilian Arnold, Ethel Larson, Edna Forsyth and her parents Grover and Margery Arnold.
Stella was born and raised in Irma, AB. She and Bob were high school sweethearts and after Stella graduated nursing school in 1944, they married that same year. Stella was a devoted mother, very strong willed, fearless in what she believed to be right and served in many different callings within the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Stella loved and had a passion for family history. She served a family history mission at the Los Angeles Family History Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stella’s name to the charity of your choice.
