Susan Dawn Stensland
January 27, 1976 — July 26, 2015
Susan Dawn Stensland of Calgary, Alberta passed away suddenly at the age of 39 years.
Susan is survived by her loving parents, Russ and Alyse Stensland; her two brothers, Bruce and Aaron; her sisters-in-law Susan and Monica; and her four cherished nephews Jordan, Nathan, Joey and Matthew. She will also be missed by her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and especially by her cousins Lynda and Beth and her best friend Susan.
Born and raised in Calgary, Susan graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1994 and had been working at Calgary Co-op in Brentwood. After living and working in Whistler, BC for a brief winter season she developed a love of snowboarding and tried to get out to the ski hills around Calgary whenever she could. She will be remembered for her boisterous nature, her wicked sense of humor and her delightfully infectious laugh.
We wish to pass on a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, techs and other support staff at the Foothills Hospital ICU, Unit C for their respectful kindness and excellent care.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciated donations in Susan’s memory to The Canadian Diabetes Association, #204, 2323 – 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 6Z3
For those wishing to pay their respects, a visitation will be at 12:00pm , Funeral Service’s will follow at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel, 243208 Garden Road NE, Calgary on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m
