Susan-Lee “Sue” Jefferies

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan-Lee Jefferies on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the age of 64 years.

Sue is survived by her loving partner of 29 years, Andy Morgan; two children, Shawna Zastre and Jason Jefferies both of Calgary; two grandchildren, Sierra and Kyla Zastre; mother, Marie McCall of Ontario and sisters, Pat, Dianna and Judy all of Ontario along with extended family and friends. She was predeceased be her father, Harold Binns.

Sue was born on May 19, 1957 in Toronto, Ontario. Growing up she was in a marching band and was the front girl with the flag. After graduating Grade 12, she took a train to Calgary and never left. She became a proud home owner in 1987 and lived in the same house till this day. Sue worked at Eaton’s in the shipping department, a piping company in the Oil industry and in later years was an administrator for a company that taught safety and EMS training/certificates.

Sue enjoyed many things in her life which included concerts, countless football game and going to watch many of Andy’s baseball games. Sue and Andy bumped his truck bumper on every mountain you can see West of Calgary over the years and loved their trips together and back country drives. Sue also loved nature and you could find her out on her nature walks, cooking over the fire, exercising every day and took her health very seriously, even quit smoking 7 months’ cold turkey.

We will miss Sue very much and will hold her in our thoughts and memories forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Sue on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the YC Social Club (567 Aero Dr NE, Calgary, AB) and all are welcome to come!
