Susan Patricia Petley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away in Calgary leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born in Bootle, Liverpool, England on August 21st in 1947, Susan brought joy and adventure to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Susan embodied the true spirit of adventure and had a remarkable sense of humor that could light up any room. She had a passion for fantasy, dragons and mythical worlds. Not one to shy away from excitement, in her younger years, Susan loved the exhilaration of riding motorcycles with her husband Steven.
Travel held a special place in Susan's heart, with Corfu, an Island in Greece, being a destination that captured her soul. The vibrant culture, picturesque landscapes, and warm hospitality resonated deeply with Susan, creating cherished memories that she held dear. Additionally, Susan's love for Bingo brought her moments of camaraderie as she enjoyed friendly competition with friends old and new.
Susan was not just an individual of diverse interests, she was also a devoted family woman. She is survived by her sister, Rhona and her children, Paulette and John; numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Steven; and brother, Paul.
In celebrating Susan Patricia Petley's life today as we bid her farewell, we remember the laughter she shared with us all and the adventures she embarked upon fearlessly. May her free spirit roam eternally in the realms of fantasy she adored so much. Rest in peace, dear Susan; your memory will forever be a beacon of light to those whose lives you touched.
