Sybil Iola Lavigne

Sybil Lavigne passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the age of 98 years. She is survived by her children Ivy Weishlow, Jim Lavigne and Susan Hoines (John Lafreniere); 4 granddaughters Brianne Hoines, Amanda Thomas (Jason), Melanie Redfearn (Jeff) and Lynette Hoines; 4 great grandchildren Lukas and Markus Redfearn, Declan Smoliak, Georgia Thomas; former daughter in law and caregiver, Darlene Bloemendaal; 2 brothers in law; 1 sister in law and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and the United States. She is predeceased by her husband Edgar Lavigne (2005); granddaughter Amy Lavigne (2006); son in law, Edward Weishlow (2010); 2 brothers; 3 sisters as well as brothers and sisters in law on both the Cormier and Lavigne sides of the family. Sybil was a Life Member of the Forest Lawn Legion Ladies Auxiliary and an avid crib player. A Funeral Service will be held for Sybil at Forest Lawn Legion # 275 (755 – 40 Street SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm. with luncheon to follow.
