Sylvester Alexander Coburn

Sylvester Coburn, beloved husband of Mirriam Coburn of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the age of 72 years. Sylvester is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Mirriam; His daughter Cadine Coburn; His Mother Gladys; ten sisters; nieces,and nephews. Sylvester was born in Pleasant Spring-St.Andrew, Jamaica on February 23,1947 and eventually moved to Calgary where he married the love of his life, Mirriam on June 14th 1975. Sylvester’s life was spent providing for his family but also he devoted his life to serving the Lord. Sylvester was ordained an Evangelist in Jamaica and carried on his ministry here in Calgary where he served as the brotherhood president for several years at the Apostolic Ark Pentecostal Church. Mentoring and guiding many loved ones throughout his time with us. A Volunteer and Friend to many; The ripple from all of his accomplishments and the lives Sylvester touched along the way have been deeply imbedded in all of those around him, and will undoubtedly have an impact on generations to come.
