HENINGER, Tamera Lynn December 14, 1957 – August 5, 2013 Tamera “Tammy” Lynn Heninger, 55, of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away on Monday August 5th, 2013 after a long and resilient battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born on December 14, 1957, in Calgary, Alberta Tammy came into this world weighing only 4lbs, 6oz. This tiny little fighter was welcomed with loving arms. She is survived by both parents, Walter Rusel and Maretta Litchfield (Dean), older brothers Michael and Darcy and younger siblings, Laurey, Alex and Becky. Tammy had a great love of the Arts, and was an accomplished pianist, painter, sculptor, and macram artist. Tammy excelled at any endeavour she put her mind and heart into, and made everything she touched beautiful with her love and many talents. In the winter of 1975 Tammy met a young man whom she knew would be her husband, best friend and dedicated companion. She was sealed to Conrad Donald Heninger for Time and All Eternity on April 28, 1977 in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple. Despite her diagnoses of MS at an early age, Tammy knew she wanted to have children, and was determined to be a mother. In spite of difficulties with her health, together with their love and strength, Tammy and Conrad gave life to four children, Michael (Carrie), Thomas (Amanda), Eva (Bret) and Kari (John). Tammy was a kind and patient mother. She was compassionate and generous with her time and abilities, and always wanted her children to know how much they were loved and believed in. Tammy was rewarded with five magnificent grandchildren while here on this earth; Natalie (4), Aiden (2), John (1), Raymond (1) and Grace (8 months). She cherished these special spirits and loved her visits with them. Each of them possess an extraordinary part of Tammy’s kindheartedness, courage, and persevering nature. Her outstanding will to live, valiant faith in her Heavenly Father’s plan and incredible example to never give up are what have allowed Tammy’s family and close friends to be strengthened and uplifted in her presence. Family would like to thank her loving friends and the staff members of Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre’s 1 East, 1 West and 3 East who have made every effort to care for Tammy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Cochrane Chapel (1100 Gleneagles Drive, Cochrane, Alberta).
