Tekeste Yebio

Tekeste Yebio passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at his home in Calgary. He was 64 years of age. Tekeste was born in Asmara, Eritrea. As a teenager, he immigrated first to Italy where he lived with his sister for several years. He then spent some time in Toronto before settling in Calgary. Tekeste is pre-deceased by his parents, Yebio Tirfe and Hansu Teklegeorges. He is survived by 2 sisters, Berekty Yebio and Alganesh Yebio and one brother, Michael Yebio as well as many cousins and extended family in Calgary and back home in Ethiopia. Tekeste was a hard worker who liked to keep busy. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held for Tekeste at DM. St. Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Church (263 – 25 Avenue NE, Calgary) on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 am. Graveside Services will be at Queen’s Park Cemetery in Calgary.
