Terry was born in Fairview Alberta, and from day one was a force of nature. Terry had a unrivaled sense of humor and mischief and loved to play pranks on his brothers and sister which would result in the heartiest laugh from Terry. One could say that Terry turned playing pranks into an art form! Terry was a kind soul with a smile that would light up the room. His unwavering love for his family, friends and his many animals over the years was evident to all that knew him. Terry was always there to help a friend in need or take care of his nieces and nephews - and of course he made sure to teach them a prank or two to ensure the torch was passed to the next generation
Terry was raised on the family farm which is where his love for farming and animals began. One of Terry’s many talents included being able to train his pigs to perform tricks like his dog. Most recently his constant companion, Lilly Jay, his little puppy, brought him love and happiness till his last day. When not farming his Stong Quarter, life in Fairview, allowed him to pursue his hobbies of riding motorcycles, skiing, skeet shooting and playing video games.
In 1997 with his Class 1 licence, Terry moved to Calgary to start a career in trucking. Living in Calgary, allowed him to spend quality time with his mother and family. They enjoyed watching TV, playing cards, and laughing at the endless stories Terry would tell. Terry remained in Calgary for the remainder of his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Terry’s memory be made to the Calgaryhumanescociety.ca or the charity of your choice.
A graveside service will be held in Calgary’s Queen ‘s Park Cemetery in the summer of 2024.
