Theresa Lynn Ragan

Theresa Ragan passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the age of 71 years, surrounded by family. Theresa will be dearly missed by her husband Logan; their three children Annette Hanian (Tim) of Phoenix, AZ, Trisha Gagnon (Glen Lukye), of Calgary, and Jason Ragan (Carrie) of Calgary; Seven grandchildren Logan Ragan (Celine), of Phoenix, AZ, Lexie Martin (Tory) of Grande Prairie, Kayley Prefontaine, of Vancouver, BC, Paige Ragan, Jocelyn Ragan, Cole Ragan and Zachary Ragan, all of Calgary; Theresa’s mother Muriel Pierson of Calgary; her brothers and sisters Brenda Macbeth (Dave), Cheryl Mathieson (Jim), Kevin Pierson and Earl Pierson (Sandy); and a large extended family. Theresa was predeceased by her father Charlie Pierson in 2019.

Theresa was born and raised in Calgary, graduating from Forest Lawn High School. She was a dedicated and loving mother, who loved making crafts and grew to create beautiful greeting cards. For over 20 years she volunteered at schools helping children learn to read, they called her Grandma Theresa. She had a love of travel and enjoyed many years attending the Iowa State Fair, where she helped Annette & Tim in their food booth. She also enjoyed her summers in Phoenix. Having Alzheimer’s progress for nearly a decade, Theresa became a resident of Age Care Seton in 2018, where she was a “stealth shopper” and helped out as a meticulous linens folder. We will miss her dearly.
