Tung Bao Nguyen

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bao Nguyen on April 09, 2024.

Bao was born August 03, 1972, in Dalat, Viet Nam. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, My Nguyen; sons; Aunt Tran; sisters; brothers; cousins; niece; nephews; and many friends. 

Bao came to Canada in 1989 where he attended high school and college in Calgary and graduated in early 1992. Afterwards, he went to fulfill his call to serve God and the community, spending six years with the Dominican Friars. Bao then started his new career in the Alberta oilfields as a Petroleum Lab Technician. He worked hard to bring his family to Canada and establish a comfortable life for them. 

After a successful career in the oilfields, Bao settled in Calgary and started his electrical career in 2012. Bao was a certified Red Seal journeyman electrician and worked the rest of his career during a fulfilling 12 years with MJ Electrical LTD. 

Bao was a loving son, dedicated father, brother and uncle who would do anything for his family, friends, and community. He will be remembered as a man passionate about hard work and caring for his family. He had many interests, such as travel, home improvement, and socializing with friends and neighbours in his spare time. Bao created countless cherished memories with those dearest to him; he will always be remembered as a friendly, carefree, and uplifting spirit to those around him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Vincent Liem’s Catholic Church (2412 48 St SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent Liem’s Catholic Church on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. 

Graveside service is to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens - The Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca. Arrangements are in the care of PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE.
