The family is saddened to announce the passing of Wayne Herbert Gibson on September 20, 2014 at the age of 60 years. Wayne is lovingly remembered by his daughter Amanda (Ehren) and his brother Ken. Wayne is predeceased by parents Pearl and George as well as his sister Marilyn. Wayne worked for many years with the City of Calgary as a Bus Driver, a Sanitation Engineer and was a Union Steward with CUPE 37. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Some of Wayne’s favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing and skiing and was a proud yet humble volunteer with the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bowness Royal Canadian Legion (138 Bowness Ctr N.W., 403-288-4414) on Saturday October 4, 2014 at 11:30am. As an alternative to flowers please make donations to the Calgary Dream Centre (4510 Macleod Trail SW, (403) 243-5598) Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
