HENINGER, Woodroe Jacobs Apr.21, 1955 Feb.28, 2013 Woodroe “Woody” Heninger passed on, to be reunited with loving family members that have gone before him, after a couple of months in the Rockyview Hospital. During this time he enjoyed visits with a devoted mother and loving family members. Woody grew up in Calgary a member of a Beatrice and Donald Heninger’s large family. He got to live with his mom for 57 years and she treated him well! How awesome was that! He knew pure joy. He was a sweet spirit and will be remembered for his smile and his enthusiasm for living in the moment. His sojourn blessed many lives as he gave freely of his love and sense of humour. He is survived by family members that he laughed with, lived for, and loved: mother Beatrice Heninger; brothers and sisters Connie Craig of Calgary, Evelyn “Evie” Dresser of Los Angeles, CA, Alyce Vernon (Larry) of Cardston, AB, Frederick “Rick” Heninger (Denise), Garry Heninger (Judy), Howard Heninger (Sharlene), all of Calgary, Lorraine Boehme (Gene) of Lethbridge, Conrad Heninger (Tamera) of Cochrane and Sandra Tilleman (William) of Calgary; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Woody was predeceased by his father Donald Woodroe Heninger and a sister Karen Black. Funeral Service will be held at Pierson’s Funeral Home, 4121 17 Avenue SE on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woody’s memory directly to the Down syndrome at Chrysalis, an Alberta Society for citizens with disabilities (www.chrysalis.ab.ca) where he worked.
