On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Yeth Mann, beloved wife of the late of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 66 years.
Yeth was born in the town of Kampongchanang, Cambodia. She was the oldest of six siblings. At age 25 Yeth married her husband Ngoy Khun. They escaped the Khmer Rogue genocide by fleeing to Thailand. Seeking asylum at a refugee camp, they where blessed with two children. While Yeth's husband worked as a pharmacist at the hospital, they saved enough to have an opportunity to immigrate to Canada. In 1985, while pregnant with her third child they landed in Lethbridge, Alberta. Only after about one year, Yeth's husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and passed in 1987. Yeth moved to Calgary one year after her husband's death. Since then, Yeth had many difficulties and challenges, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Yeth fought that battle with cancer and won. In 2017 Yeth got diagnosed with Stage 2 lung cancer. She fought the cancer for eight years before it took her life. Yeth's biggest accomplishment in life was that to the best of her abilities, she raised three kids to full grown adults as a single mom.
Yeth is survived by her loving children, Vicki Khun-Oum and her husband Saray Oum of Airdrie, Alberta, Sarith Khun of Calgary, Alberta, Savandty Khun and his wife Maliay Kim of Calgary, Alberta; and four grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Pierson's Buddhist Chapel, 4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Cremation will follow at Country Hills Crematorium, 11995 - 16 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta.
