Crafting a memorial that does justice to a life well-lived is an undertaking that touches the very core of our humanity. At Pierson's Funeral Service, we're here to attentively listen and design a service that resonates with your family while honouring your loved one's unique journey.
Each life is a tapestry of relationships, faith, and experiences. We offer both modern and traditional ceremony options and work actively to incorporate family photos, cherished memories, and meaningful symbols into your gathering. Whether it's a religious service or a more informal celebration, we're committed to making it personal and heartfelt.
We have strong ties with all local cemeteries and can coordinate burials across the globe. Families have the liberty to select from a variety of service options, such as a visitation, funeral, or graveside service, which we'll help coordinate to the last detail.
More families in our area are opting for cremation. We offer the same range of service choices as for burials, and witnessing the cremation is also an option. Rest assured, we operate our own crematorium and adhere to rigorous protocols to ensure the process is conducted with utmost dignity.
We understand the importance of saying farewell. Our caring team will guide you through any religious or cultural practices, offering options and solutions even when circumstances make viewing challenging.
For those leaning towards a more traditional service, a funeral typically involves the deceased being present in a casket. Regardless of the venue, we're here to coordinate all aspects. If you're not affiliated with a religious leader, we can source an appropriate individual to officiate the service.
Often chosen when the deceased has already been cremated or buried, a memorial service can be held at various venues, from houses of worship to open-air locations. These services, also known as "Celebrations of Life," often take a less formal tone.
For those seeking a shorter, less formal service, a graveside ceremony offers an intimate setting to say your goodbyes, whether the deceased was cremated or interred in a casket.
Sometimes the preference is to not have a formal service. We can still arrange for immediate cremation or burial, and remain at your disposal for any future memorial plans you may wish to organize.
Whether death occurs in Calgary or afar, we're equipped to make arrangements for transferring the deceased to any location, whether within Alberta, across Canada, or internationally.
If a death occurs outside Calgary, we'll coordinate with the funeral home at the location to safely transfer the deceased back to our community for the final rites.
